DEPARTMENT OF SPORT MANAGEMENT
It is a reality that nowadays there is a need for educated people who do sport and knows the problems of the sports closely. The people whom have educated and trained in various units and positions in sport management to serve at the fields mentioned below:
1. In the service units which are suitable for their education and expertise in rural area and urban organizations of and the General Directorate for Youth and Sports.
2. As a manager who work in urban or rural area organization of public sector
3. As a manager at the different levels in the managerial structure of amateur and professional sport clubs,
4. As a person who organizes leisure and sporting activities and perform an animation services in touristic hotel, motel and other establishments in our country,
5. In gyms and other private sector establishments, in organizations and practices of activities in our social life named as fitness,
6. They will be able to serve in organizations who employ more than 500 emplyes in either private of public sector, as a manager in municipal management staffing organization and practices of sport activities in any unit.
7. “Sport Manager” title will be used by our graduates according to articles of YOK dated 15.01.1996 article number 55-1114 and law number 2547andnumber 2880 and changes made on 43/b.
Sport management department has been established in our school in 1997-1998 academic year.
