Depending on the mission and vision of Celal Bayar University, Department of Information Technology has the aim of supplying the need for software, hardware, network, information services, and infrastructure and development studies on time and in a qualified way. The mission is to follow technology, to actuate the information technologies of the university, to support education, instruction and research, and to provide other information technologies effectively.
Services offered:
System network services: The University has the access of 50 Mbps band width via ULAKNET. Moreover, all the units are joined together at Information Services Department (CBU-NET) via 2-16 Mbps. The installation of this access is performed by the Department of Information Technologies Network-System Group technical maintenance support services.
Software services: Department of Information Technology Services develops the required software within itself with the latest software tools and techniques accepted by international standards. Some of the important ones are: Payment Information services (MAAŞSIS), Student Information Services (OBİS), Personnel Information Services (PERBİS), Budget and Accountancy Services (MUHSİS), Property Accountability Information Services (AYNSİS), Alumni Information Services (MEBİS), BESYO Exam Assessment Services (BESYOSİS).

Web and e-mail Services: The department pursues its service policy on the web as well. Our web pages have been extended using XHTML, PHP, and JAVA, and can be visited by the lowest-configuration computers. Our personnel is provided with both e-mail and home access to data bases via VPN service.

Technical equipment services: The department supports all kinds of set up, maintenance, and repairing of all hardware and software used throughout the University.

Financial Services: The department also pursues salary, treatment, traveling, purchase property accountability, and secretarial services belonging to this department.
