PUBLIC FINANCE DEPARTMENT
GENERAL INFORMATION
In department, first two years, it has been given basic education in the
fields of economics, business administration, mathematics, statistics,
law and computer; in last two years, by giving more importance to public
finance science, it has been taught theoretical-practical knowledges
about public economics, public finance, government debts, budget, taxes,
local governments finance, fiscal policy and different fiscal systems.
Public Finance Department is in a activity that is directed to meet the
need of personnel who are well-informed and specialist in fiscal
subjects and are demanded by private sector besides public sector, it
tries to realize an education in which theoretical and practical
knowledges are integrated, it also strives to adapt itself the
necessities of global progresses that are occured in public finance
field besides the conditions of Turkey.
In department, after graduation, it is targeted to consist of knowledge
accumulation which is required for high level management in private and
public organizations. To have public finance knowledge is a preference
reason for the students who are eager to work in positions such as
public finance supervisorship, auditorship, governorship, tax judgeship,
bankership and bank supervisorship.
The department consists of public finance theory, financial economics,
budget and fiscal planning branches.
Master degree and doctorate programs are available in our department.
Preparatory class that based on English language education is compulsory
and, in the course of education period, some courses that their numbers
are determined by the department are given in English.
